Just Do Something!

Feeling stuck in a rut? Having trouble meeting your goals? Whether you’re in sales, development, or management, if you’re not exceeding your goals (never mind hitting them) then something is wrong. It doesn’t matter your department; you should be killing it. Every. Single. Day. Because you better believe your competition is.

So, what should you do? Change something, change anything. Just do something different.

We’re not talking about new processes, new work flows, new sales pitches, different software, more training. That’s all great stuff, but first you need to address the deeper issue.

Are you motivated? Do you love what you do? Or are you going through the motions because you’re in a cushy place. Good salary. Nice benefits. Little-to-no overtime. Sounds amazing. But where’s the passion?

How do you know if you’re passionate about your job? People who are don’t have to ask. And let’s face it. You won’t be successful if you aren’t passionate about what you do.

People who love their jobs don’t count down the minutes until their work day is done. They love the challenge, they enjoy excelling at something they’re good at, they love making a difference. When you’re passionate about your job, you can’t help but be successful.

If you’re not killing it then you need to make a change. And that change is in you.
